.NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the single TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained active.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no particular regulations on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
